Circle Financial, a primary backer of USDC, received an investigative subpoena from the SEC Enforcement Division in Jul. 2021 according to an Oct. 4, 2021, regulatory filing. In the filling, Circle stated that the SEC "requested documents and information regarding certain of our holdings, customer programs, and operations. We are cooperating fully with their investigation." Link
U.S. Bank, the fifth-largest retail bank in the United States, announced that it is launching a cryptocurrency custody service supporting Bitcoin (BTC), Bitcoin Cash (BCH) and Litecoin (LTC) for institutional investors. Link
